Split

Named "Split" because of the split in her right ear, this sweet senior called Liberation Sanctuary home since 2016.

Split was used as a former breeding ewe for the meat industry until she was surrendered to us at 9 years old by a local farmer who did not want to send her to slaughter, because she was one of her ‘favourites’.

Split lived at Liberation Sanctuary for 7 years.  In the last 2 years, she went totally blind and was arthritic and was moved into our special needs area.  To help keep her at ease,  Split was given daily pain meds and monthly injections of cartrophen.  She loved spending her days basking in the sun, relaxing under her favourite tree or keeping warm in her shelter.   She was laid to rest on her favourite hill where she would often sit facing the sunset.
