Very kindly purchased as a birthday present to save her from going to market, Malaya arrived at Liberation Sanctuary in May 2017.

Malaya had been pregnant and had a baby taken from her prior to her arrival.  She is a timid and small girl – a Dexter breed cow, which were selectively bred to be smaller back in the 1800’s.

Malayla has a special bond with rescued cow Oscar.  The two spend a lot of time together free to be who they are and do as they please whilst roaming the 45 acres of the sanctuary with the rest of the herd.
